A new campaign from LA Catholics features veteran journalist and screenwriter, Rafael Alvarez, known for his role as writer of “The Wire,” the acclaimed HBO series that ran from 2002 to 2008.

In a video released this week to celebrate the Month of the Rosary, Alvarez details how devotion to the Rosary helped him overcome a decades-long struggle with alcohol and his return to the Catholic faith.
